Much that most of us hate to admit we were wrong, I am more annoyed that I could have been so wrong about two different people.
Though I personally had nothing against Al Gore, I am now ashamed to admit I actually supported George W. Bush for President, hoping that he would be a humble, honest, not great but surely not a disaster of a President, in 2000.
How wrong I was is for all the world to see.
At the same time, though I could not stand the idea of Senator Lieberman even being a Vice Presidential candidate on the Democratic ticket, there was one tri-state region Democrat I actually felt could some day make a run for the White House, then NY State Attorney General, Elliot Spitzer.
I was impressed with his seeming intellectual abilities, his courage to go after big time figures, his apparent ability to shrug off influence. So, I was quite happy to see him become Governor of New York.
But, alas, it took George W. Bush several years for me to want him impeached, Elliot Spitzer has brought me to say "Recall Spitzer" even faster.
So, my fellow New Yorkers, equally or more disillusioned by Spitzer selling out our national security, and erasing any semblance of our being a nation that adheres to its own immigration laws, I say, NY, SOS!
NEW YORK, SPIT OUT SPITZER!
It's time for him to be driven out of office --- preferably driven by one of the illegal immigrants he so forcefully wanted to give driver's licenses to!
Add your voice, express your opinion, shout it out, NY SOS!!
